All Things Milonguero

In this 4-week course we will emphasise substance over style and work with close-embrace tango elements in the spirit of the milongueros. We will cover vibrant embrace, strong posture, and lead and follow technique for unbroken, close embrace dancing.

We will explore musicality to fit the flow of the ronda, small elements that can be freely combined to form compact on-the-fly figures, and typical milonguero moves from ocho cortado variants to milonguero salidas, caminatas and corridas.

Finally we will cover rhythmic turn variations that go beyond by-the-numbers molinete giros.
